DON BOSCO HSS PANJIM WINS LAURELS AT SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL

Twenty-three students of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Panjim participated in the Tenth Shakespeare Festival on 13th September 2019 at Chowgule College, Margao.

They won the first place in the event ‘Diorama Drama’, where the students depicted a supernatural scene from Shakespeare’s‘Hamlet’.Intricately crafted miniature characters, exquisite flooring and interior design with smokescreen were used to create an eerie effect. The winning team comprised of Asher Fernandes, Cressida Lobo, Savio Almeida, Danika D’Sa and Aaron Gonsalves. Andrew De Souza and Walden Fernandes excelled at the Shakespearean Spelling Bee Competition by  traversing a life size ‘Snakes and Ladders’ and winning the first prize.

 

Aldrich Amaralspoke eloquently inthe ‘ShakespeareanSoliloquy’, while Brett Sequeira,Candice Sequeira,Jayden Pais, Shane Marquis, Aryan Mayekar and Andre Noronha evocatively depicted the betrayal of Brutus from the play, ‘Julius Caesar’. Kyra Sequeira and Alyque Andradeparticipated in the event titled, ‘The Bard’, and enthralled the audience by setting to tune Robert Frost’s poem,‘The Road Not Taken’.The students were guided by teacher Bianca Fernandes.
